Knitted dishcloths for Mother’s Day!

IMG_7305

This year for Mother’s Day I decided to knit some dishcloths, using cotton yarn :). I used various colors in 2 brands: Sugar ‘n Cream and Premier Home.

I got the pattern from the site here, which named it the “Ramen Noodle Dishcloth:”¬†http://littlehouseinthesuburbs.com/2011/08/ramen-noodle-dishcloth.html

Here’s the pattern (using US 8 needles):

Row 1-3: knit all stitches

Row 4: k3, *k2, p2 (repeat from *) to last 5 stitches, k5

Row 5: k3, *p2, k2 (repeat from *) to last 5 stitches, p2, k3

Row 6: repeat row 5

Row 7: repeat row 4

Continue rows 4-7 until you reach row 48, then knit the last 3 rows. Cast off and weave in the ends.

You will end up with a total of 51 rows, and the dishcloth will be about 8″ x 8″, like this:

The cloth is safe to put in the washer and dryer.

Enjoy!
